J.L. Daughtrey's writing is inspired by classic fantasy tales, mythology, and video games. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and a former police officer in the Atlanta metro area. He began writing fantasy as an escape from the thousands of police reports he composed during his time in law enforcement. He enjoys going to the beach, playing soccer, and spending time with his wife and daughter. When he is not writing, he works on electronic systems for the government. Some of his favorite books are fantasy series such as, Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire, and The Witcher.
